RYA Day Skipper

Just completed combined Competent Crew and Day Skipper course with instructor Carl and loved it. I had zero sailing experience coming into this and was apprehensive. Carl was demanding and patient in equal amounts - the course was intense and tiring but great fun and taught me so much. Spectacular scenery, lovely yacht and an unforgettable time.

Excellent sailing school. Great instructor with a good sense of humor and lots of patience. The gulf of Volos is an excellent location to learn sailing. Highly recommended!

Carl is an extremely skilled, fun and thorough instructor. 'Its not a holiday', but you will come away from the experience having seen some great locations and gained as much knowledge as you can absorb. Liz's cooking is top notch and also caters for those with dietary needs. Can recommend this sailing school with no hesitation.

A fantastic week completing my Day Skipper course. Carl provides excellent instruction on a wonderful boat (with your own cabin, no sharing with stranger). Liz provides some delicious food. Great value for money, can't recommend enough!

An idyllic place to sail, and a very skilled instructor to guide you in your first steps in sailing, or by encouraging you to reach higher proficiency with whatever course you take with Carl. I have been to other schools where I got my licenses and joined Carl and Liz' school for a two-weeks refreshing course (august 2023), but I learned so much more than I already knew. Carl has a profound knowledge of sailing, his boat, the region and the seas, and with his humor, relaxed attitude and generosity he makes the time spent with him an unique learning experience. Be it for your first steps in sailing or to get an RYA license, Carl is the instructor to go to! (and if you like wonderful food, you are in for a treat with Liz' dishes and the local restaurants near the places where you'll dock)
