Course Description: This comprehensive course offers an overview of live-aboard systems and cooking, electronic fixes, sail shape, storm tactics, heavy weather sailing, watch keeping, weather forecast interpretation, harness wearing, night circumnavigation of the Channel Islands, sailing with bare poles, towing, anchoring under sail, and more. Pricing includes textbook, damage insurance, taxes, and fees.
Goal: Be qualified to skipper a sailing vessel over 42’ in coastal waters in all conditions.
Course Format
Day 1 5:00pm-8:00pm Classroom Session & Provisioning
Day 2-3 9:00am Depart for Channel Islands. 2 Overnight Anchorages
Day 4 9:00am-5:00pm Exam. Return to Harbor by 5:00pm
Prerequisites: ASA 101, ASA 103, ASA 104, ASA 105, & ASA 106

2 months agoBooked the Double Dolphin for a private sunset cruise and it was truly spectacular. The boat is very spacious and well-equipped and the captain (Chris) and crew (Callie) were so helpful and friendly and really went above and beyond to ensure that we were taken care of the entire time. We opted for the catering vendor the sailing co. works with and they provided an ample spread of delicious food. The office manager (Addy) was so helpful throughout the process and answered all of my questions quickly and thoroughly. We'd love to do another trip with them again!

2 months agoWe had the best night. Sunset cruise, champagne shared with good friends. Weather was cloudy but really didn't make a difference. So nice to be on the water. Smooooooth sailing.

a month agoHad a great time with my girlfriend on the sunset cruise April 9, 2025. Smooth waters, nice temperatures, an informative captain and all around good time. Chris even stopped by and offered to take our photo while out on the water. Very romantic time! Five stars!

9 months agoI loved every bit of this cruise! Everyone on board was so pleasant and the captain knew all about the area and wildlife which was fun to hear about. Also gave great recommendations on great cocktails in the area. Would have booked back to back nights had the cruise tonight already been fully booked. Will be back very soon! Thank you!
