We had such a blast! We came during the happy hour so we got free drinks & snacks. The guys were very welcoming & friendly. It was just us as a family so we loved the privacy. They offered the kids a life vest so of course safety first. We were able to get up close to sea lions & otters! Overall it’s better to go to Sail Monterey for more of a private fun personal experience.

we were looking for a short boat ride because my mom can't be out too long at a time, but most of the tours in Monterey are 3 hours or more. this company offers 90 minute tours, but we were able to get a happy hour special that's about 30-40 minutes & stays in the little bay. plenty of wildlife to see. our mom uses a walker and we had to walk down stairs to get to the boat, but if you have accessible needs you can call ahead and ask about getting a private tour from another docking point that is more accessible. the catamaran has room to roll wheelchairs on board. they have drinks and snacks and comfortable seating, but you can also stand in the center area, or sit on the front. they do offer private charters and have a liquor license. the staff was cool, the music was great, and it was a nice experience. I definitely recommend this company if you have accessibility needs, or people who can't tolerate long outings

My wife, a close friend, and I took the 5 pm Sunset Catamaran Sailing Cruise with Sail Monterey, and it was a fantastic experience. Captain Paul was at the helm, bringing both expertise and a calm, relaxed presence to the journey, making us feel completely at ease. The cruise offered a selection of refreshments, including water, wine, and beer, and cozy blankets were available as the sun dipped below the horizon—a thoughtful touch that added to the comfort of the evening. We were fortunate to have just the right amount of wind, which made for an exhilarating sail once the engine was turned off. The quiet that followed was idyllic, letting us fully enjoy the natural beauty of Monterey Bay. We can’t recommend this company enough. With excellent pricing, a delightful ride, and an experience that exceeded all our expectations, this cruise was an absolute highlight of our trip.

My wife and I booked a daytime cruise (10/25/24 @11AM-12:15PM) on Sail Monterey. While on this particular day the winds were quite light, so it was not sufficient to travel under sail, but that also meant calm water (which was fine with us). This was our first sail trip ON Monterey bay even though we have traveled to this area countless times over the past 45 years. It was very enjoyable learning more about the ecosystem of Monterey Bay. The skies were blue with striking high clouds and a perfect temperature. Could not have been better for our trip. Plenty of harbor seals and sea lions near the harbor and even out in the Bay. Great job by all the staff. Highly recommend this trip.
